I'm back!

Some of you may have noticed a lack of posting over the last week. Our family took a much needed vacation for just over a week to Minneapolis, MN. We had a great time and are busy getting back into the routine of things at home. Over the next week you'll start to see some new posts, and tomorrow you'll find the Try To Win It Thursday Giveaway Linky. So, if you are into entering giveaways or want to promote your blog giveaway, make sure to come back and check it out!

Updated List: Printable Coupons for Canadians

I just added a bunch of coupons to the Printable Coupons for Canada (on-going list) to help you save even more money! I have also removed all the old expired coupons.  As usual, the coupons are sorted alphabetically and include an expiry date to make things a bit easier! All new coupons that I added to the list today will show *NEW* in front of them.  There are several more I will be adding over the next week; it's getting late and I didn't have enough time to add them all today. :)

Update

You may have noticed that Everything Up Close has been a bit quiet the past couple of weeks. I just wanted to write a quick message and let all my readers know, "I'm still blogging and all is well." Excitingly, my husband and I have purchased a new house and are in the process of selling our current home. Needless-to-say, that has captured pretty well all my time and my access to a computer to do my blogging has been limited. I do have some great posts planned so please stay tuned! You'll see posts appearing once again over the next couple of days!

Canadian Blogs - an update!

I just updated the post: FREE Magazine Subscriptions (On-going List) with a number of magazines that are completely free (trial issues not included)! I have also reorganized the list to make it easier to find what you are looking for.  If you find a magazine that is no longer offering a free subscription OR if you find a new magazine that is being offered free of charge, please feel free to contact me and I can add/subtract it from the list.

UPDATE: Everything Up Close Bridal Shower!

I know it's been awhile since my last post.  But yes, I'm still alive! Alive and Married as a matter of fact! Our wedding was on August 28th and although it turned out to be a rainy day, we made the best of it and had a fabulous time! I will be posting pictures and more information shortly (as soon as I receive our wedding photos from the photographer).

I just wanted to check in and let you know that because I was busy with the wedding and then after the wedding I got a bad cold and was stationed on the couch or in my bed recovering for nearly a week, I had to take a break from the Everything Up Close Bridal Shower. I'm almost 100% back to normal now so I'll be able to start posting again in the next few days. So, with that said, the Bridal Shower event obviously won't be ending on the 12th of September (tomorrow) as originally planned. I am happy to announce that I will be extending the event through the end of the month, or until all the sponsor posts are posted. There are a lot of great giveaways coming up so you'll want to stay tuned!

Also, just a reminder that the Celebration Designers Giveaway ends in a few days (September 16th). Don't miss your chance to enter to win 50 Save the Date cards to announce your upcoming nuptials! The giveaway is open to EVERYONE WORLDWIDE! Enter here: http://www.everythingupclose.com/2010/08/celebration-designs-review-giveaway.html

UPDATE for the http://www.thewishpearl.com/ Review & Giveaway

Unfortunately, there have been some unforseen circumstances come up with the giveaway I've been running for http://www.thewishpearl.com/ and the sponsor instructed me that it needs to be taken offline for the time being. Hopefully we'll be able to get it up and running again soon, but in the meantime, please check out my other giveaways. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.  Best of luck in the other giveaways!  I'll be posting more in the next couple of days!

Update & Announcement - Wedding Events

As most of you know, The Wonderful Wedding Wishes Event that I am currently running was scheduled to finish a couple of days back on June 30th. Because life sometimes gets in the way of finishing plans on schedule, I still have a few sponsors to feature.

With that said, I have great news! From July 5 - September 12, I will be running another wedding related event called The Everything Up Close Bridal Shower. This one is going to be a lot of fun! This event will be featuring items that help the new married couple start their life together. This will include everything from household necessities to items that help the couple participate in hobbies together. I will also be featuring sponsors that provide items that could be used in a bridal shower (decor, etc.) and items that I think would be fabulous for the bride to bring along with her to the shower (hint: think of what the bride may wear to the shower). This event will be very diverse and I think that there will be something for everyone - whether you are getting married, just got married, have been married for years, or are looking forward to getting married 'someday'.

As always, if you post my event button on your website or blog, you will receive an extra entry when you leave a link to your page in a comment (this will only count for giveaways that are part of the Bridal Shower event).  So, if you like extra entries, please post the following button and leave it up throughout the event:

<center><a href="http://www.everythingupclose.com/" target="_blank"> <br /><a href="http://www.everythingupclose.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="The Wonderful Wedding Wishes Event" src="http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/ihchicky/TheEUCBridalShower.jpg" /></a></a></center>

Also, to make sure you don't miss out on any reviews, giveaways, etc., I suggest you subscribe to Everything Up Close either by email or via rss feed (both options are available on the left sidebar of this page).

Because a number of sponsors I have could easily fit into both events, I will be posting some sponsors scheduled for the original event in this event instead (some fit better into the second than the first).

As for winners of the first event, I will be posting the details within the next week.

Best of luck!

An Update and a Request

Many of you have probably realized that over the past few months I have switched from a Blogger specific address: http://everythingupclose.blogspot.com/ to my own domain: http://www.everythingupclose.com/.  I was and am very excited about the change.  However, changes usually come with unexpected problems.  The issue is that unfortunately, Google is not detecting the links to the posts I posted prior to the change properly, which in turn is decreasing my spot/rank on Google searches.  For those of you who have blogs or other types of websites understand how important Google's page ranking system ise.  That is why I have decided to write a bit about this in a post.

For those of you who have my button on your blog, you will notice that it is no longer working properly.  The image that shows up says that the button is no longer valid and requests that you visit http://www.everythingupclose.com/ for the new code.  In order to get my ranking back to the way it used to be, I'm requesting that those of you who have my old button please reinstall my button using the code shown below.  If you enjoy entering my giveaways, this step is very important since my old button does not count as an entry (I've explained that on the giveaway pages so that everyone is informed of the change).

<center><a href="http://www.everythingupclose.com/" target="_blank"> <br/><a href="http://www.everythingupclose.com/" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Everything Up Close" src="http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo146/ihchicky/FinalBlogButton.jpg"/></a></a><a href="http://www.everythingupclose.com/">Everything Up Close - Reviews & Giveaways</a></center><br/>

So, if you haven't changed the button yet, I'd really appreciate it if you took a few minutes now to change the button to the one I have shown below, ensuring that the new button links to http://www.everythingupclose.com/.  Hopefully, once all has been switched over to the new address, my website will be booming, my Google PR rank will return to what it used to be, and I will be able to offer you even more content than in the past!

Thank you so much to all my dedicated readers!  I appreciate the time you took to read this message and make the appropriate changes on your own website!
