SLAPPA offered to send me two of their laptop bags to review: the Ballistix AURA Silver/Orange Laptop Shoulder Bag and the BulkHead 4:1 PRO Laptop Travel Bag. First of all, I have to say that I absolutely loved both of them.

The Ballistic AURA Silver/Orange Laptop Shoulder Bag is a high quality laptop shoulder bag! The first thing that caught my eye with this one was the sheer size of it. This laptop bag is huge and it is great for transporting your laptop plus other items such as books, cords, pencils/pens, etc. This laptop bag has several different compartments which allow you to carry all of your computer necessities plus other items like your cell phone. The main compartment of this bag is split into two compartments (which I find ideal). Plus, this bag is meant to fit both 15.4” and 17” laptops. Other aspects of this bag which I like include the fabric that it is made from. The outer fabric is a water and tear resistant nylon and the inner fabric is a quilted lining. This lining is great because it adds extra protection for your laptop.

Even though this laptop bag is huge, for my purposes, I find it to be a bit too big for everyday use. I just don’t usually need to carry that much stuff with me. We have been using it mostly for transporting our XBOX 360 to family and friends houses. Even though I am not using it as a laptop bag, as originally planned, I know I will get a lot of use out of it. This is a wonderful, high-quality bag!

The other bag I had a chance to test out was the BulkHead 4:1 PRO Laptop Travel Bag. Out of the two, this one is definitely my favorite. Why? Because it is highly functional and with many different options for storage. Plus, for the price, I think it is well worth the investment! I had a chance to test out this bag out on a recent vacation and I thought it worked great. This bag is meant to separate into 4 different bags to allow for easy storage. I like that depending on what you need to carry, you can separate the bag into different parts. Also, this bag is made to fit up to two notebooks (17”). I have a 15.4” screen and it fit perfect. However, when I tried to place my boyfriend’s 17” widescreen computer in the bag, it was a tight fit. I am guessing if it was just a regular 17” laptop, it would have fit fine.

I really enjoyed the comfort of the 4:1 bag. The shoulder strap and molded grip handle make it comfortable for carrying long distances. Another great feature of this bag is that you are able to adjust the strap to be shorter or longer by simply attaching the adjustment clips at different heights. Finally, I loved the fabric of this bag. The bag’s outer fabric is made from BuckBlast suede and is water repellant and puncture proof. I love the qualities of the fabric because they will ensure my bag lasts for a long time.

From experiencing these two bags firsthand, I can tell this company strives to offer quality bags unlike any other. I really enjoyed having the chance to test out both bags and I am confident I’ll be using them indefinitely.
