Fellow Canadian Bloggers: Blog Roll!

One of the reasons I started blogging was because there weren't any Canadian bloggers that I knew of at the time. Now, nearly 3 years later, new Canadian blogs are popping up all the time. Here are some blogs written by fellow Canadians (including mine with a link to the main page) that I think are worth checking out (listed in no particular order):

Note: I will update this page as I find new Canadian blogs.  If you know of a Canadian blog, or you are the owner and operator of one, please submit your 'blog button' code through my 'Contact Me' page.

Are you a PR Friendly Blogger? Or, do you want to be?

Over the past few years of blogging, I've had many people email me asking how to get started blogging, and more specifically gain relationships with companies that will allow them to write about company's products through reviews and/or giveaways. For some people, getting started comes naturally and companies come across the blogger before they are searching for the opportunity.  However, in most cases (from what I've seen anyways) connecting with companies can be difficult - especially if you have little to no previous experience with social media or writing proposals, media packages, etc. Whichever situation you find yourself in, finding new ways to connect with companies (a.k.a sponsors) is important.

Stacie, over at Simply Stacie, has started a new project that will allow bloggers who are interested in doing reviews, giveaways, or just talking about companies and their products to be known to the corporate and social media community. This new project is called the PR Friendly Blog Directory. If you are reading this and thinking to yourself, I want to do what 'you' do (you being me), I encourage you to send your information over to Stacie to be added to the list. You can find out more details about the program and send in your information by clicking here. The great thing about this directory is that it's for all bloggers - new, upcoming, and seasoned bloggers alike.
