Not-so Wordless Wednesday - I'm a Mom!

Some of you may have noticed my absence in the past week - but it is not without good reason.  I'm excited to announce that on Wednesday, August 10th at 9:04 a.m., I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Lyla. 

Here is a picture of her at only 6 days old (taken by Amber Bond Photography of Winnipeg, Manitoba).


My husband and I are very proud parents and we are enjoying the new adventure that parenthood has provided us with. 

I will be taking a few weeks away from Everything Up Close to focus on our family and spend time bonding with Lyla.  I will be back before you know it with more great content!
