Playtex The First Lil' Gripper Review & Giveaway

Playtex has just come out with a brand new product called the First Lil' Gripper. This Stage 1 (4-12 months) product is designed to help teach your child how to drink from a straw all by their self.

The Playtex First Lil' Gripper is specially designed to help children move from using a bottle to using a cup. It incorporates ergonomic handles to make it easy for your child to grip onto. The handles have rubber gripping on them, making them easier to hold onto and decreasing the likelihood of the cup slipping out of your child's hands (not to say that won't happen anyways).  Cups seems to one of those things that like to escape little one's hands over and over...and over!  Another aspect I like about the handles are their flexibility.  The design of this product allows your child to easily control how much liquid they receive and the straw helps to aid mature mouth movement.


You can easily help introduce the First Lil' Gripper to your child by pressing on the 'squeeze markings' on the front and back of the cup to slowly introduce the beverage to your child. This can help encourage your child to use the straw on their own.

The First Lil' Gripper is designed for parents because of it's Twist 'n Click technology, which ensures that the beverage won't leak. The lid has a slide on it that will cover the straw when not in use.  This can help to ensure that liquid won't leak out of the straw.  The lid of this product is also interchangeable with all Playtex cups. I personally find this aspect very useful since it means no more searching for the 'right lid'. When I babysit, this is a frequent issue. Having one lid that fits all Playtex models is much easier! As a parent, you'll love that each piece of the First Lil' Gripper is safe for the top rack of your dishwasher. Being a person that hates doing dishes by hand, this is a must! The First Lil' Gripper also has measurement markings on the side so you know how much you are giving your little one.  Finally, you'll know that your child is safe using this product since it is 100% BPA free!

The First Lil' Gripper cups will hold up to 7 oz. or 207mL.
