Now...Since I believe I have a fair amount of Winnipeggers that enjoy reading Everything Up Close, I thought I'd share a LIVE stream of the mayoral candidate forum on Downtown Winnipeg here on Everything Up Close!
I have been working in a non-profit community service agency serving parts of Downtown Winnipeg for the past year, and consequently, I have found that my interest on a variety of topics has peaked. Considering the community that I work in right now (part of Downtown Winnipeg) is quite politically involved, I've taken a particular interest in this year's civic election. So, when I heard that the topic of tonight's mayoral forum is Downtown Winnipeg, I decided I had to take part! I was planning to be at the event but since I found out it is showing live through the Winnipeg Free Press, I decided to save some travel time, gas (and therefore the environment) and watch the event from home!
If you are from Winnipeg and are considering voting in this year's civic election, or if you live in Downtown Winnipeg, I encourage you to watch the forum with me tonight! The forum starts at 5:30pm CST and will be running through until 7:30pm CST.
