Seduce (Jewelry) Review & Giveaway

Do you love jewelry?  Whether you are looking for jewelry for a special occasion (including bridal) or for everyday jewelry, Seduce has something for you!  At Seduce you will find hair accessories, headbands/tiaras/vines, earrings, necklaces/pendants, bracelets, jewelry sets, rings, and charms! 

All of the crystals (Swarovski) and pearls that you see at Seduce are of the highest quality!  In order to keep costs low and products at a quality that any customer is sure to appreciate, supplies are purchased in bulk directly from the wholesaler.  Additionally, Seduce ships in a minimalist fashion, which helps to save you money and it is also great for the environment!  As you look through the Seduce Shop, you'll notice that the prices are reasonable and quite competitive.

A bit about the designer
The owner of Seduce is a full time working mother who lives in Singapore with her two young children.  The owner says, "I've been making jewelry as a hobby for as long as 7 years, since I first started out shopping for my own bridal jewelry. I handmade my own jewelry for the first time and wore it for my own wedding 6 years ago. Since then, the hobby and interest continued. On and off, I continue to make jewelry."  Seduce's owner is a certified information systems auditor by profession but she loves making handmade jewelry in her spare time!


Review
The owner of Seduce offered to send me two of her items for me to review and share with all of you.  She sent me three (3) Swarovski Twisted Pearls Bridal Wedding Hair Pins (with blue Swarovski crystals) and one (1) White Swarovski Pearls with something blue Bridal Wedding Hair Barrette.

When I first saw these items in her Etsy shop, I was really excited!  Both items look lovely online and I couldn't wait to see them up close.  She offered to send me three of the hair pins to show me how versatile they can be.  By linking three hair pins together, it is easy to create the appearance of a beautiful barrette.  When I received these pins, I tried wearing them in a number of different ways: single pins to pin my hair back, as a faux barrette (as mentioned above), and to add a bit of elegance to a simple up-do (1/2).  I found that these pins are well constructed and easy to use.  The wire used to attach the pearls and crystal to the pin is quite flexible, which makes the pins easy to manipulate the way you want.

Overall, I've really enjoyed using these hair pins and now I wish I had a few more in different colours.  What I really liked about the hair pins, besides their practicality, is the twisted pearls that the designer chose for the design; they are lovely and unique!  I personally think that the hair pins look even better in person than the picture shown online and I would be just as happy if I were to have purchased these myself.  These pins are fashionable, high quality, and reasonably priced ($13 USD per pair [2]).

Next, I had the chance to review a lovely barrette from Seduce.  This barrette contains round pearls and blue Swarovski crystals.  At first glance, I noticed how well both the barrette and the hair pins compliment each other because of their style and colors.  I think this barrette is best used for special occasions and for weddings, however, this piece could also be used for work, regular daily use, or nights out on the town.  The barrette itself is very well constructed and I'm not going to have to worry about losing any of the pearls or crystals.  The pearls and crystals are attached to the barrette with a thin silver wire.  The way the wire is attached is quite subtle and it blends in well with the design.   

In conclusion, I really enjoyed using this barrette.  I found the barrette a it difficult to open and close, but then again, I have noticed the same issue with a number of other barrettes in the past.  My only suggestion for the barrette would be to ensure alignment of the holes on the pearls that appear on the side of the barrette.  This really isn't critical to the overall look of the barrrette (I think it is beautiful the way it is), but by aligning the holes on the pearls, I think it would make it look just that much more professional.

Considering I will be wearing my hair 1/2 up for my wedding, this barrette is the perfect choice!  I love that it is elegant and that it includes my 'something blue' aspect, which before now, I had yet to find.  I'm definitely looking forward to wearing this piece on my wedding day!  If you'd like a barrette like mine, you can purchase on from Seduce for $13 USD.
