FoldTuk Review & Giveaway!

With a small kitchen like ours, storage is always a problem! Luckily, a new product called FoldTuk 5-in-1 bakeware can eliminate the headache and frustration of bulky kitchen tools. FoldTuk is the very first bakeware that collapses and can be used in a convectional, conventional, infrared and microwave oven. This is so because of a special 'green' material that these products are made from: Petroleum-Free Ceramber. In addition to being able to use FoldTuk products in virtually any oven (up to 500° F), they can also be thrown in the freezer and the dishwasher. Finally, these pieces can easily make storage in your kitchen much easier since they can be easily collapsed and stacked. Because of these reasons, many anglers and RV owners are choosing to stock their cupboards with FoldTuk because how easy they are to store and travel with! A combination of all FoldTuk's capabilities, will likely make these the most efficient pieces of bakeware in your kitchen, boat or camper!

FoldTuk offered to send me their Six-Cup Round FoldTuk Bakeware to test out in my own kitchen. Here is what the FoldTuk product website says about this product:

"The round FoldTuk can accommodate just about any recipe. For a delicious pasta bake, simply add pasta, sauce, and cheeses and then watch how this dish cooks evenly in less than 25 minutes. The cheese crisps up at the top without even putting the cookware under the broiler! Contents are easy to remove, and whatever you do not finish for dinner, you can microwave for lunch at the office the following day."

My absolute favorite part of the round FoldTuk that I reviewed is it's versatility. First of all, I love that I am able to use this from the freezer, to the oven, to the fridge, and even put it in the dishwasher once I'm done with it. Anyone who likes to stock up on homemade freezer meals will completely understand how much easier the FoldTuk products can make this process. I also like that when I am done with the bakeware, I can easily collapse it and store it away no worry about storage problems.

Secondly, I really liked the size of the 6-cup round that I received. I found that it was a good size if you are cooking your main course, ranging anywhere from 1 - 5 people. Depending what you are cooking and what portion it's for, you might be able to accommodate more. However, to avoid your food from bubbling over, you shouldn't fill it too full! If you are cooking for a smaller group (for example, yourself [1] or two people), you can easily pop the FoldTuk into your fridge and save the leftovers for the next day's lunch or supper!

Finally, what really impressed me about this piece was it's stain resistance. Unfortunately, in my kitchen, I have so many things that have stains because of cooking tomato based recipes, curries, or certain barbecue sauces. I was happily surprised after cooking both curry and barbecue pork, that no stains were leftover! Plus, it seemed to cook a bit quicker and more evenly than some bakeware that I've used in the past.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed each aspect of this piece. I look forward to filling my kitchen with FoldTuk products (since I no longer have to worry about storage)! The next FoldTuk item on my wish list is the FoldTuk Collapsible Roaster.

The 6-cup Round FoldTuk measures 10 inches in diameter. You can purchase this product on the FoldTuk website for $21.99 or at a number of online and in-store retailers. The FoldTuk website is a great option for ordering since you are able to order from anywhere in the world; Canada, the US, or internationally.

**Product note: "The lid that comes with [each piece of] bakeware is good for storage use. It can't go into convection oven. [However], when it's in the microwave oven, it shouldn't be [tightly] sealed with the bakeware to avoid steam build-up." (stated by J. at FoldTuk)
