Layers Clothing Review & Giveaway!

Layers Clothing is a fun clothing company that strives to make comfortable, fashionable yet modest clothing at reasonable prices. Most of the clothing sold by Layers Clothing is very versatile and can be mixed, matched, and layered with a wide variety of different pieces. “Layer’s style is humble but edgy, sweet but sassy.” Layers Clothing’s current Winter 2008 Collections possesses many dresses, long and short sleeved shirts, cardigans, and skirts. In addition to their Winter collection, you can also find several basic pieces, which are sold year round.

Review
Recently, I received two items from Layers Clothing to review. I had a chance to review the Glenda in Pewter and the Sculpting Tee in white (soon to be released).

I was immediately drawn to the Glenda because of the interesting design on the front of the shirt. The Glenda is a long sleeve hoodie with the lightweight slinky feeling of a regular shirt. Even though this shirt is quite light, it is warm enough to wear even in our -40 degrees winter temperature. In addition, the Glenda boasts a horizontal band just beneath the bust and bands running along both sides of the neckline. What I loved most about this shirt was how incredibly comfortable it was. Because of the type of material this shirt is made from, it just moves with and hugs your body without revealing every bulge and curve. I loved this shirt!

Next, I had a chance to try an item that has not yet been released to the public. I received the *NEW* Sculpting Tee to review. I loved the idea of this shirt because it could hide and hold in the bulges that I am not too fond of. This shirt was originally inspired by the classic under control and the classic tee. The Sculpting Tee combines aspect from both: the popular body shaping ability of the classic under control and the length of the Classic Tee. The extra fabric at the bottom of the hemline, which adds to the length, allows you to tuck the tee in or out (for a layered look). I have already worn this shirt several times, in many different ways and I absolutely love it. I really like how versatile and magical this shirt is. Once you put this shirt on, it is amazing how everything in sucked in, which makes you feel leaner and taller. This shirt has another amazing quality…it increased my confidence. Now if a shirt has the ability to do that, it is definitely worth the money.

I think both pieces are fantastic. They have actually become my two favorite casual pieces in my wardrobe. After having the chance to review a couple of pieces from Layers Clothing, I will definitely be back in the future to order a couple more items. I can’t wait to see what their Spring 2009 Collection will bring!
