Greenciles Review!

Lately, I have really been trying to be a bit more environmentally friendly with the products I use. You have probably noticed that with many of my past reviews. Luckily, I came across another product that makes being green so much easier. Greenciles are a great new product made by Arvee that are environmentally friendly and made from 100% recycled paper.

Greenciles are environmentally friendly because they use absolutely no raw materials. Greenciles are produced from recycled paper, such as newspaper, used printer paper, etc. The paper that is used in Greenciles is taken from landfills and recycling plants, is cleaned and then used to make up your pencil. Greenciles website states that because of the way these pencils are produced, they are the cleanest, safest, and most environmentally friendly pencils you can find. In addition, these pencils can be used pretty much anywhere you use normal pencils: writing, drawing, drafting and sketching.

I had a chance to try a package of Greenciles for myself! At first glance, these pencils look the exact same as a normal 2HB pencil with a synthetic erase, except in a much prettier green color. When I tried these pencils, I was surprised that they felt exactly like a normal wooden pencil. I thought that because these pencils are made with paper that they might be difficult to sharpen. I was proven wrong. These pencils are just as easy to sharpen, if not easier to sharpen, that standard wooden pencils. I also love that instead of throwing out the pencil shavings (as you do with most pencils) you are able to recycle them instead!

I feel happy knowing that even writing can be made into an environmentally friendly activity!

  4. I was wondering how good the eraser worked? I have bought pencils in the past that the erasers were awful they just smudged and made a mess. I switched to mechanical pencils with the white eraser or I buy the erasers to put on top of the pencils. I go through many many pencils a year at my job. It's nice to see these are environmentally friendly and made from 100% recycled paper.

  5. I was actually surprised that the eraser worked as well as it did. It didn't leave any smudges and it was fairly easy to erase with. Although, I do find that these erase more like a pink eraser than a white eraser.
