Fashion Refined Review & Giveaway!

Fashion Refined is a lovely Etsy store that creates a large selection of pendants made out of wood. You will find pendants made from light, medium, dark wood, or Tiger Ebony. In addition, you have the option of choosing pendants in three different sizes: 1.5, 2.0, & 2.4 inches (in diameter).

Fashion Refined enjoys creating pendants that are named after different people. Katie, the owner of Fashion Refined said, “The idea is personalization. I want people to purchase the pendants named after themselves and/or their friends and family.” Personally, I love this idea. I think it is so unique and makes a great gift. Katie also told me that she will transfer the name of the pendant on the back of it, upon request.

Over the past little while, Fashion Refined’s business has continued to grow. “These handmade pendants are now sold in boutiques all over the world including New Zealand, Canada, and Australia and also right here in America in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and California.”

“My name is Katie and by profession I am a photographer for an online beading company. I have been crafting and creating pretty much my whole life. My mother is an amazing creator of sorts. She's always encouraged me to draw, stamp, quilt, bead, sew, etc... I only wish I had half her talent!

I took over this shop from studio 9 and so far, this has been a lot of fun for me. I have quite an intense personality and energy so it is great for me to direct it at something like this. Review
I had the chance to review a pendant from Fashion Refined. Katie sent me a beautiful pendant called ‘Korin’. Unfortunately, she doesn’t carry one called Ilissa. I have to admit, I’d be quite surprised if she did. This pendant is made from maple wood, it is covered with a dark stain and measures 1.5 inches in diameter. Each pendant has a 10x6mm sterling silver bail. After the image is carefully transferred onto the pendant, it is covered with a sealant to ensure protection. Finally, the pendant is placed on a 16” leather cord and then shipped to the lucky recipient.

First, I really love this pendant (and Fashion Refined) in general, because of the uniqueness of the (their) design. There are hardly any stores, that I know of, that sell wooden pendants. I really love the Korin design, the color, and the subtle wood grain on this pendant. Korin is perfect because I can truly wear it for just about any event. It is easy to wear with casual clothes or with a nice dress. Finally, I am really impressed with the high quality of this pendant. It definitely looks like something you’d find in a stylish boutique. This pendant is made from a nice sturdy wood. In addition, I am very pleased with how well the image has been transferred on to the pendant; it is completely flawless. Overall, I am so happy I found out about Fashion Refined. I love the style of their jewelry and that they are so reasonably priced. I will definitely be back again in the near future to purchase a couple more pendants.
