Decal Girl Review & Giveaway!

Isn’t nice when you can personalize something so it doesn’t look like everyone else’s? I found a great company called Decal Girl that does just that! Decal Girl carries a wide range of premium quality skins for almost everything. Skins they carry include ones for your Laptop (PC and Mac), Ipod, Blackberry, GameBoy, Game Cube, cell phones, Guitar Hero guitar, Nintendo Wii, Playstation, XBOX, and the list goes on! Not only do they carry skins for everything under the sun but they carry tons of different designs to choose from. For example, if you were looking for a skin for your laptop, you could choose from 467 different designs! That’s amazing!

I had the opportunity to try out some of Decal Girl’s skins. I received a XBOX 360 controller skin and a full XBOX 360 skin (which includes a face, upper and lower skin).

When the skins first arrived, I was extremely happy to see the high quality of vinyl they use to create their skins. For some reason, I wasn’t expecting it to be nearly as thick as it was. The first skin that I decided to use was the XBOX 360 controller skin. To install the skin, I simply went online and followed their instructions. The instructions were fairly easy to follow and we were able to apply the skin in about 5 minutes. Even though the instructions were easy to follow, we did have some issues with the actual application of the skin. We applied the skin from the middle to the outside as suggested however, we still ended up with a couple creases on the sides of the controller. It isn’t something that is very noticeable, and because of the rounded shape of the XBOX 360 controller, I think it would happen with almost anyone’s controller.

Next came time to install the XBOX 360 system skins. Personally, I found these much easier to install since the machine itself is a flat surface. The total installation process probably took about 20 minutes. Once again, the installation instructions were found online and were easy to follow. The application of the XBOX 360 skin did require two people because of the sheer size of it. I can’t imagine trying to do it with only one person. At the bottom corner of the front there was a very small portion that didn’t cover completely but you don’t even notice it unless you are looking for it specifically. Overall, the installation of the skin was very easy and I am extremely happy with the outcome of both the XBOX 360 controller skin and the full XBOX 360 system skin!

After my experience with Decal Girl, I would definitely go back to them in the future for all my personalization needs. Their selection is superb and their prices are reasonable.
