I just recently found out about the store called TagsOnBags that specializes in personalized bag tags. When I saw this, I thought, ‘Finally! I no longer have to resort to using the airline tags that everyone else uses.’ Each tag in TagsOnBags uses custom artwork done by the owner Kristine. Each tag is completely customizable and allows you to put a name of your choice on the front and your contact information on the back. Each tag measures 4 5/8” by 2 7/8”, is print with a color laser printer and is heat laminated with 10-millimeter plastic. There is a plastic attachment loop included for ease of attachment to almost any bag! The finished tag is somewhat thinner (and more flexible) than a credit card. As you will see below, TagsOnBags sells personalized tags for everyone in the family: adults and children!

Personalized Laminated Bag Tag - Princess Crown
These tags aren’t only for luggage; they have many other uses. These tags are perfect for ● Luggage ● School/Lunch Bags ● Diaper Bags ● Daycare Totes ● Going to Grandma's Tote ● Dance Totes and Much More!
In addition, TagsOnBags sells many other customizable accessories such as personalized passport covers, pocket mirror covers, and wedding accessories/favors! You can also visit http://imaginethatartstudio.com/ to find out more about Kristine’s business.
I asked Kristine if she could tell me a bit about herself and how she got started with TagsOnBags. Here is what she said, “I live and work from my little corner of the world in Southeastern Michigan where I live with my husband, son and a spoiled beagle named Star. I've been an artist just about my entire life. My professional training is in graphic design and I once worked in the advertising industry. I started TagsOnBags on etsy in the summer of 2007. I also operate a website called AllergyAlertTags.com where I sell laminated tags designed especially for kids with severe food allergies or other medical conditions.”
Review
I received my very own customized tag from Kristine to review. And, my thoughts...It’s perfect! It is definitely far better than using the ones that you get at the airport. Firstly, I love that it is already customized when you get it. Kristine even added my phone number to the information on the back, just in case I ever lose my bag, there is a number that I can be reached at. Secondly, I really like that it is laminated with a pretty thick laminate (just thick enough to be sturdy but still a bit bendable – kind of like a credit card). One great thing about the laminate is that it stands up to all kinds of weather conditions. You don’t have to worry about your tag getting wet and erasing your name and information. Thirdly, I love the plastic loop that it comes with. It is very strong with just a bit of stretch. Lastly, when I opened my package with the tag in it, inside I found a set of instructions that Kristine includes with all her tags! What a great idea! Here is a picture of a piece of luggage with a normal airline tag vs. another with a tag from TagsOnBags. Which would you prefer?

**Please note: these tags are shown on a small carry-on sized suitcase **

ReplyDeleteI love the Owl Design Bag Tag. Have you thought about doing a Set? Maybe two big tags and 1 smaller tag for when you travel internationally or something, then you'd have matching tags? Of course, now they've changed baggage rules so I don't know if its still free to travel with two checked pieces and one carry-on.
ReplyDeletePASSPORT Cover and Luggage Tag Set is my favorite, the passport cover is just lovely and the one I have right now is merely functional, not something you would be delighted to show someone! Even customs!
