Precision Engraving Review & Giveaway!

When I first came across Precision Engraving, I was very impressed with the large amount of personalized products that they create. Today it seems that personalization is the way most people want to go when decorating areas of their life or items that they use on a daily basis.

Precision Engraving specializes in the creation of laser engraved products and vinyl signs/decals. Precision Engraving manufactures high quality laser engraved products for personal and commercial applications. Indoor/outdoor signage, wood frames, pencils, award plaques, business card holders, and many more items. Their art department can make your design from scratch or if you already have a design in mind, they can usually work with it. Also, they believe that vinyl signs and graphics are an excellent and cost effective means of promoting your business, products and services. Precision Engraving offers die cut and full color graphics and decals. Each vinyl product that they carry is manufactured from high quality vinyl that is said to last a minimum of 6 years. Some examples of vinyl products they create include wall letting, wall art, and laptop skins. Many people today use vinyl lettering and wall art to add a personal and decorative touch to various living spaces. Precision Engraving is a unique and friendly company. They seem to really value working with their customers, one-on-one to create a truly personalized item. They do this by offering various sizing, font style, coloring, and finishes to most of their vinyl products and custom fonts and graphics to their engraved items.

Review

The owner of Precision Engraving offered to send me a piece of vinyl wall art of my choice to review. He was even kind enough to allow me to receive the vinyl art customized to the size of my choice. The piece I chose was the Branch - 2 Colored Birds Vinyl Decal Wall art with a glossy finish. The branch vinyl color I chose was Nut Brown (083) and the bird vinyl color I chose was Burgandy (312). The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was how the color of the vinyl matched the colors shown online almost exactly. I also liked that the vinyl art came with instructions on how to apply the art to my wall. The instructions gave three different options on how to apply the wall art. The Application Process. The clear cover tape separated from the backing very easily. Next, I applied the clear cover tape to the wall and squeegeed it down (pressed and rubbed down firmly). I then tried to remove the cover tape from the vinyl. This process was quite difficult for me. I found that the clear cover tape continued to stick to the vinyl pieces, which required me to press down most of the vinyl pieces individually by hand (See picture below). In addition, because of this, some of the pieces buckled (See picture below). I think the intricate design of the vinyl art I chose might have been part of the problem. When I applied the vinyl birds to the wall, it was much easier. I think it was easier because they were smaller and a more simplified pattern. Overall, the application process took roughly 10-15 minutes. Also, below you will find a picture of the finished product (please note, this picture was taken with a flash). Overall, I think it looks great!
