Magic Hands Workshop Review & Giveaway!

A little while back, I was searching through etsy for some interesting bath products and I came across this fabulous store called Magic Hands Workshop. I was immediately impressed with the diverse selection of scents that they had to offer. Also, I loved that you could get most of your ‘pampering’ accessories all in one place! This shop carries everything from Shea Butter Soap to Sea Salt Bars to Bath Bombs! However, the selection doesn’t stop there. She has a wide variety of products to meet your every desire.

Here are a few pictures of some of the divine products that she carries:

Pink Sugar Bath Bomb

Body Butter

Body Polish

Winter Grapefruit Soap Bar

The Shea Butter Soap bars that she carries are quite large and range in weight from 4.5 ounces up to 5.25 ounces. The Sea Salt bars are roughly 6 ounces. Her bath bombs are about 4 ounces. Each jar of Body Polish is 8 fluid oz and 11 oz. by weight. Plus, you can purchase the Body Butter and Lotion in 4-ounce jars. If you are interested in trying any (or all) of these but don’t want to purchase a normal sized container just yet, she also offers sample sizes of her Body butter, Body Polish and Soaps. On the other hand…If you want to buy multi packs (maybe for Christmas) she also offers that option for her Shea Butter Soap Bars. The Shea Butter Soap Bar multipacks come in 3 or 6 bar packages.

I asked the owner of Magic Hands Workshop if she could tell me about herself and her shop. This is what she told me, “I've been making and selling soap and bath and body products for the last eight years. I find something wonderful in the alchemy of soap making - creating an everyday, functional, item, which can still be a thing of beauty. Form doesn't have to follow function - it can meet it.” She offers a wide range of services such as wholesale orders, custom orders or will send gifts to people you know anonymously (secret pal gifts).

Review
I was sent two bars of soap to review: Winter Grapefruit Soap Bar and Energy Soap Bar with Silk. When I first opened the package that Magic Hands Workshop sent me, the first thing I did was smell them. I loved that both bars of soap had a wonderful scent (both scents greatly resembled the descriptions on the website) but were still mild. Generally, I find that some brands of soap offer soaps scents that are much too overpowering, but this was not the case with the soaps from Magic Hands Workshop. As for the size of the bars, I thought they were perfect. They were generous in size but still small enough to make holding them easy. When I used them the first time, I noticed that they created a good lather whether I used just my hands or I used a bath sponge with them.

The biggest benefit of the soap was the way it made my skin feel afterwards. My skin felt so soft! Honestly, my skin felt much softer than it has been in quite a while. Here is a specific example: With winter on its way my face gets pretty dry, which it is right now. After the first use, I noticed a definite reduction in how dry my face was. The dryness got progressively better after each use. Overall, I would definitely recommend Magic Hands Workshop’s soaps to my friends and family. I think this would be an excellent place to shop for products for everyday use, Christmas presents, or stocking stuffers. If you are interested in purchasing products from Magic Hands Workshop, please note the coupon code at the bottom of this post.

  87. Dang! I may never forgive this blog for introducing me to the soapmakers who will tempt me come my next payday! :o) I'm greedy, so if I ordered anything, I'd get the six shea bars package. My picks would be these six, for these reasons:

Thai garden is a creative blend of scents, and I'm curious.
Cedar and saffron for my husband, because he deserves something this delicious smelling.
Wildwood rose blends some of my favorite scents in the world.
Isis shea butter -- I looooove sandalwood, and I looooooove vanilla.
Mulled cider -- I think this would smell so good I'd want to drink the bathwater.
Zen tea because ... NOM. Sounds crisp and minty and clean.
