Another thing I like to participate on a monthly basis is called the Lou Lou Beauty Lotteries. This one is open to residents of Canada only (sorry US readers). How this lottery works is you are required to go on the website on a certain day at a certain time to fill out a form. From the list of people that registered during that time, X number of people will be chosen to win a prize.
Since March 2008, from this site I have won:
1.) Clinique Lash Power Mascara worth $18
2.) Marcelle I-Bronze Sun-Kissed Glow Moisturizing/Self Tanning Cloths worth $16.95
3.) 50-mL bottle of Guess? Perfume by Marciano worth $60
4.) Avène Prize Package (including Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray, After-Sun Repair Lotion and High Protection Lotion SPF 30) worth $65.50
Usually each month they offer between 1 and 4 chances to win. Most often, they offer about 2 or 3 during the month. Unfortunately, the month of August is one of those months that they are offering only 1 chance to win. For August, you have the chance to win a 30-mL bottle of perfume worth $60: Comme Une Evidence by Yves Rocher. The giveaway runs on August 13 between noon and 1 p.m. EDST. There will be 50 lucky winners for this giveaway!
