It's been a busy couple of days

Can't believe it's been since Saturday since I posted something on here. These past couple of days have just flown by. Just started a new class on Monday so that probably has something to do with it. The course is all about family relationships. It seems neat so far. The instructor is pretty great (which is rare in my university). Tonight I have my other course and I have to do a little presentation. It is only 4 minutes which isn't bad but... I hate public speaking so sometimes 4 minutes can seem like a lifetime. On Monday night we had to do an impromptu speech and as soon as I got up to the front I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Tonight should be better though since I had time to prepare for it. We have to teach the class how to do something. So, since I was in nursing for a couple of years, I decided I might as well teach proper hand washing (I think I am a bit of an expert on the subject). I finished all my note cards and have a bunch of props to show the class and overall, I am kind of feeling excited about doing it. Just wait until a couple minutes before I have to present though...then I am sure I won't be looking forward to it. So enough about school....the boring stuff that I am sure most of you have no interest in reading.

On to stuff about contests!! YAY! The beginning of the month is always fun because it means a new beginning of contest wins. Is it sad that I look forward to the beginning of a new month, new week or new day just because of my contesting? I think it's a bit pathetic sometimes. But hey, this is an exciting hobby! For those of you who contest as well, I am sure you know what I mean. I like to keep track of my wins using a spreadsheet so I know what and how much I won each month. It also help me keep track of whether or not I have received the item yet. Usually I receive most of the prizes in a timely fashion but sometimes they take forever. In the past month alone there we 2 items that I won that I had to email the people back about because I hadn't received or heard anything from them. When I did contact them, I found out both companies/people didn't receive my email. Good ol' email hey? Anyways, so far this month I won a $5 Quizno's gift card from a contest on Facebook, a double pass to see the Hulk and a workout DVD. Not bad for being only a couple days into the month.
